Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg (Telemetry)

Shift: Both Day & Night available

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med/Surg (Telemetry) unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in Level 1 or 2 trauma centers with proficiency in EPIC Electronic Medical Records.

The position requires proficiency in performing IV insertions, drawing labs, and telemetry monitoring. Travelers must be flexible as the schedule includes weekend shifts and occasional holidays.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State RN License
• BLS certification required with ability to recertify
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience (within the last 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level
• EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience preferred
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Must be proficient in starting IVs and drawing labs
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must not have had professional license or certification suspended or investigated
• Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
• All candidates are subject to drug screening and criminal background checks

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Med/Surg (Telemetry) unit
• Monitor and assess adult patients on telemetry, including vital signs and lab results
• Start IVs, draw labs, and assist with other medical procedures as required
• Document patient information accurately using EPIC
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality care
• Be scheduled for every other weekend and some holidays
• Perform nursing assessments in an acute care setting with minimal supervision
