Job Title: Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)

Shift: 12-Hour Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) team. The RN will provide comprehensive care to patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role involves caring for patients transitioning from intensive care or requiring specialized cardiac and medical attention.
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Coronary Care Unit.
Monitor, assess, and document patients’ conditions and responses to treatment.
Administer medications and manage complex equipment, including cardiac monitors and IV pumps.
Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices.
Active RN License (Compact or State of North Carolina).
Minimum 2 years of experience in an IMCU, Step-Down, or Telemetry unit preferred.
Must pass Dysrhythmia Exam within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
Availability to work through January 4, 2025.
Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
BLS (AHA) – Required
ACLS (AHA) – Required
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) – Required
