Job Title: Business Analyst (BA) – Loan IQ

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) with Loan IQ expertise to bridge business requirements and technical solutions within the financial services domain. This role focuses heavily on data modeling, data migration, and system integration, particularly within Loan IQ environments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of Loan IQ data structures, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to deliver scalable and compliant solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements
  • Anticipate business needs and recommend solutions and alternatives
  • Define both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Work closely with project teams in solution design, development, and testing
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders on progress and deliverables
  • Track, manage, and resolve issues from initiation through production deployment
  • Handle data requirements, prioritization, and resource allocation
  • Perform quality control and validation of Loan IQ systems
  • Develop strong understanding of Loan IQ data model
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries
  • Support data migration from legacy systems (e.g., ACBS) to Loan IQ
  • Conduct data profiling, mapping, and validation
  • Contribute to data modeling, integration, and system design efforts

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry
  • Hands-on experience with Loan IQ data model and system implementation/migration
  • Experience with data modeling, schema design, and integration
  • Proficiency in:
    • SQL (advanced level)
    • Python (preferred)
    • Data mining and schema mapping
  • Experience with Snowflake and Databricks data platforms
  • Familiarity with data migration strategies and tools
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and JIRA
  • Experience in application support and regulatory reporting
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills
