Position Title: Ultrasound Technologist – General
Location: Rifle, CO 81650
Employment Type: Travel / Contract
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Monday + 2 days on-call (weekend coverage) | Possible 4x10-hour shifts
Start: ASAP

Job Summary:
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across a wide patient population in a critical access hospital, including general, vascular, breast, OB/GYN, abdominal, and small parts imaging while ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams (General, Vascular, Breast, OB/GYN, Abdomen, Small Parts)
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment (Pixus Ultrasound, GE Logic 10)
• Review patient history and physician orders before procedures
• Prepare and educate patients for imaging studies
• Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
• Participate in on-call coverage as required

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years Ultrasound experience required
• ARDMS certification required
• ARRT certification required
• Vascular ultrasound experience required
• Breast ultrasound experience required
• BLS certification required or must obtain within 3 months
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging procedures
• Ability to work independently in hospital setting
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Preferred:

• OB/GYN, Abdomen, and Small Parts experience
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences preferred
• Prior hospital experience preferred
• First-time travelers considered
