Shift Details

  • Shift Options: Day, Evening, Night
  • Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Hours per Shift: 11.5 hours
  • Shifts per Week: 3
  • Total Weekly Hours: 34.5 hours
  • Schedule: Every other weekend required

Job Summary

A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry Technician to provide continuous cardiac monitoring in a clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ECG interpretation, arrhythmia recognition, and the ability to respond effectively to critical cardiac events, including pediatric monitoring.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform continuous ECG monitoring and accurate rhythm interpretation
  • Analyze ECG strips to identify arrhythmias and life-threatening changes
  • Assist during emergency situations, including code response and rhythm documentation
  • Perform electrocardiograms with proper electrode placement
  • Respond promptly to monitor alarms and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and care teams
  • Enter and verify orders within electronic systems
  • Retrieve and report laboratory results to clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation per facility standards
  • Operate and manage telemetry and monitoring equipment safely and efficiently

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Telemetry Technician Certification (required)
  • Minimum experience as a Telemetry/Monitor Technician
  • Pediatric telemetry monitoring experience (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (e.g., American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • Completion of a Dysrhythmia course
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a hospital or acute care setting
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Additional Requirements

  • Must have prior hands-on experience as a Telemetry or Monitor Technician
  • Pediatric telemetry experience is mandatory
  • Must be available to work every other weekend
