Job Title: Lab Manufacturing Associate 

Location: Elkton, VA 22827

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Shift:

Rotating 12-Hour Shifts

  • Primarily 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM

  • Some shifts from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Schedule includes weekends (7 days a week)

Compensation:

$36.00/hour (W2)


Position Summary:

A Technical Operations Shift Engineer position is available to support pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and vaccine manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, applying problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and hands-on support in a dynamic manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for biologic, vaccine, and sterile product manufacturing

  • Perform data analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations

  • Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)

  • Support change control initiatives and documentation updates

  • Write and review procedures related to equipment and process operations

  • Participate in process and equipment safety assessments

  • Conduct technical investigations and assist with reduction of atypical events

  • Learn new processes and contribute to continuous improvement

  • Perform a balanced mix of floor-based and desk-based work (~50/50 split)


Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in a related field:

  • Biology, Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or Integrated Science

  • 0–3 years of relevant industry experience

  • Must not have a known Beta-Lactam allergy

  • Internship or co-op experience in a relevant industry setting
