Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric ED – Day Shift 
Location: Healthcare facilities across NJ, NY (Upstate & NYC) 
Shift: Day 

Job Summary: 

We are seeking experienced Pediatric Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurses who are prepared to provide high-quality care in fast-paced and critical situations. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in pediatric emergency nursing, with the ability to assess and prioritize patient needs effectively. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide specialized emergency nursing care to pediatric patients in critical conditions. 
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on medical needs and hospital protocols. 
  • Quickly and accurately triage incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions. 
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. 
  • Respond efficiently to trauma situations, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. 
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans and ongoing care. 
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and interventions. 

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • Minimum 18 months of experience in a Pediatric ED environment. 
  • Recent ED experience within the last six months is required. 
  • Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills for developing effective care plans. 
  • Ability to perform a wide range of professional nursing services. 
  • Effective communication skills for patient, family, and team interactions. 
  • Experience in Pediatric ED, PICU, or NICU preferred. 

Education: 

  • Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN). 
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). 

Certifications & Licensure: 

  • Required:  
  • Active New Jersey RN license or multistate compact license. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA. 
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA. 
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA. 
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification. 
  • Telemetry certification. 
  • 4-hour Stroke CEU Contact certification. 
  • Preferred:  
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA. 
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
